I get spammed daily by people pretending to be SEO Experts.
As a website developer I am alarmed at how little these people know yet how arrogant and boastful they can be.
So I created a seo rep checklist for you!
SEO Expert Checklist
#1 Do they have a website?
If their email address is gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc… then they may not be legit.
Free email is a scammers best friend!
Look for an email from a business website like:
#2 Search Google for their website.
Sounds simple but again you would be amazed at how many so called SEO Experts don’t have a website or you can’t even find them on a search engine.

#3 Search for reviews their company.
If they are in marketing then there should be a lot of stuff published with their name on it.
#4 The most important part of SEO is your website.
If they are legit they should look at your website for things like:
sitemap.xml: (tells search engine’s the contents of your website)
robots.txt: (tells search engine’s what is public and what is private on your website)
Website Speed Test: How fast does your website load? Is it mobile friendly?
